Times are hard for USMNT players and fans right now. The team failed to reach the Gold Cup final, and they’ve continued to struggle with consistency.
You never really know which USMNT will show up on any given night. Will it be the one that exhibits great team chemistry and links up for many passes leading to scoring chances? Or will it be the one that looks disorganized and fields a back line that often appears sieve-like?
Tuesday’s exhibition match against Brazil featured much of the latter, as the USMNT were dominated from start to finish by their opponent, losing 4-1.
But there was a bright spot that occurred toward the end of the match.
Check out USMNT defender Danny Williams, who received the ball and was given plenty of space in front of him. He used that to rip a powerful blast past Brazil’s keeper (who got a hand on it, but could not parry it away) from roughly 30 yards out.
Williams had a rough night defensively, but he made up for it with that screamer.
