Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams has seen an upgraded role in Sunday’s game against the Raiders with Le’Veon Bell now out for the season with a knee injury.
Unfortunately, Williams hasn’t produced like the team has hoped he would so far, as far as yards per rush. He’s carried the football 16 times for only 48 yards midway through the third quarter of the game, but he does have two touchdowns.
Williams, however, did a great job on a blitz pickup in the game when he de-cleated Aldon Smith. Smith was rushing off the edge and Williams gave left tackle Alejandro Villanueva some help by destroying the Raiders pass-rusher on his attempt to get to Ben Roethlisberger.

Smith’s sack attempt was thwarted by the well-timed hit from Williams.
