It’s still early in Sunday’s matchup between the Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins at Ford Field, but it’s obvious the Lions intend on pulling out all the stops to escape victorious.
Faced with a fourth down just under five minutes into the game, the Lions sent out their special teams unit for what appeared to be a conventional punt. But as punter Sam Martin fielded the punt, it was evident that was not the Lions’ intentions. After receiving the football, he immediately lofted the ball in the air to a wide open Jed Collins for the first down.
