Erin Andrews is one of the most prominent women in sports media today. She’s an inspiration to many up-and-coming reporters, but also receives undue criticism from hecklers who have nothing better to do with their time.
But Andrews is a strong woman, and when she’s under attack, she fires back.
So when a group of trolls attempted to get her riled up by throwing verbal jabs on Twitter, she went to town on them.
It all started when 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick blasted a Twitter troll earlier in the week. Andrews congratulated Kap for standing up for himself, but then quickly received some criticism. So, she responded.
@jstacks53 has nothing to do with it…get tired of the trolls acting like they are an expert on everything..

@GoingsGone bc sometimes it just gets to be too much

But that was just a warm-up. She then began zinging trolls left and right.
@aaron_faded I would but it’s an off day for me…

And when one particular heckler questioned her skill set as a reporter, Andrews ribbed him about his avatar photo.
@rrossi73 killlllllllllller gold chain broooooh….

Things slowed down a bit, and the Twitter war seemed to be dying down. Then some random guy compared her to Pam Oliver, who she replaced. Andrews, this time, took the high road.
@PingChingPound sticks and stones babe

After Andrews employed a more passive approach, things finally got quiet. However, one Twitter user questioned her credibility on Friday evening, and the Fox Sports reporter responded.
@jimw81 believe me if others had the opportunity, they would take it too…no one looks down at Strahan for doing what he does…

We applaud Andrews for sending a message and standing up to the hecklers.
