First overall draft pick Auston Matthews scores four goals in first NHL game

No.1 overall draft pick Auston Matthews turned in an amazing performance in his first NHL game on Wednesday night, scoring four goals in the first two periods alone.

Matthews certainly celebrated hard after the first one, understandably so, but as the game progressed, he handled himself like a veteran.

After scoring goal No. 4, you’d have thought he had already scored hundreds of goals in his career. It was just another day at the office.

Unfortunately, the Leafs are terrible, and no one else could find the back of the net. The Senators won 5-4 in overtime.
