Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth is known for two things: driving in runs and having an extremely thick beard.
As such, the Nationals came up with a great idea for a giveaway before Wednesday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The first 20,000 fans to enter Nationals Park received a Jayson Werth Chia Pet.
The cool thing is, it isn’t the hair on Werth’s head that grows—it’s his facial hair. Check out the beard on this little guy.

Both Werth and the Nationals struggled during the game, though. The Nationals lost, 11-4, and Werth went 0-for-3 at the plate.
