Vision is an important trait that most NFL starting quarterbacks possess.
You either have it, or you don’t. Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown does not, as evidenced by one particular play in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams.
McCown ran out of bounds after scrambling, but for some reason, he did not understand that he was going full speed and would need to slow down before approaching a wall.
Maybe he saw a hot woman in the stands, or maybe he somehow didn’t see the wall. But he did not slow down, ran into it and took a spill.
At 36 years of age, you’d think McCown would be a bit smarter when scrambling.
