Khalil Mack is going to be a superstar

The Oakland Raiders may not have won more than eight games in a season in 12 years, but that could be changing thanks to second-year defensive end Khalil Mack. In Oakland’s 23-17 loss on Sunday night, Mack absolutely destroyed any hopes the Arizona Cardinals had of moving the ball.

Mack looked like a bonafide star. The kind of defensive centerpiece that the Raiders need to return to respectability.

Yet veteran safety Charles Woodson said on the broadcast that Mack has no clue how good he can be yet. In other words, Mack is going to be a superstar.

Mack is going to be the kind of player that takes over games. The kind of player that chews up 320-pound offensive tackles and runs over quarterbacks, running backs and anyone else that gets in his way.

Last season, Mack was very good against the run, but needed to improve as a pass-rusher. Apparently , he’s done that. Mack had two sacks, a quarterback hit and five hurries to go with a forced fumble, per Pro Football Focus. The Cardinals couldn’t block him.

Mack puts right tackles in the spin cycle.

Mack beat double teams and made left tackle Jared Veldheer look like like a turnstile.

Again, double teams were no match for Mack.

Don’t forget, running at Mack is about as wise at running at a moving truck.
