Kobayashi attempts to eat 40-pound goat to lift Cubs curse (photos)

It’s been 70 long years since Billy Goat Tavern owner Billy Sianis was forced to leave a World Series game against the Detroit Tigers, when the Curse of the Billy Goat was placed on the Cubs.

The curse has Cubs fans wondering if they’ll ever win the World Series again, being that they haven’t accomplished the feat since 1908.

Well, Takeru Kobayashi has taken matters into his own hands in an attempt to lift the curse.

Kobayashi teamed up with competitive eaters L.A. Beast, Tim Brown and “Deep Dish” Bertoletti, and on Tuesday night, they attempted to eat a 40-pound cooked goat to reverse the curse at Taco in a Bag in Chicago.

And, sure enough, they succeeded.

If the Cubs do go on to win the World Series in the next few years, Kobayashi and his cohorts should be special guests at the championship parade.
