Lionel Messi cries after missed penalty

Lionel Messi picked a bad time for one of his worst performances in recent memory during Sunday’s Copa America Centenario final against Chile.

The knock on Messi is that he disappears in big games, and that’s exactly what happened in the match, which was a big reason why Argentina was held scoreless.

Messi had a few opportunities, but failed to record a shot on target. He took a few free kicks and couldn’t do any damage with them, either. Furthermore, he failed to create quality chances for his teammates.

And he didn’t even make a penalty kick. His miss made Argentina get behind early during penalties, and Chile ended up outscoring them 4-2 to emerge victorious in the tournament for the second consecutive year.

He even got the crying Jordan treatment from video guru CJ Fogler.

The tears followed soon after, while Chile was celebrating.
