Messi lifts Argentina over Venezuela with great goal

Lionel Messi is the best player in the world right now. Cristiano Ronaldo has battled through some injuries, and he’s been downright awful (by his standards) during tyhe Euro 2016 tournament so far, even missing a key penalty kick on Saturday.

But Messi has been lethal in the Copa America Centenario tournament so far.

He started his first game of the tournament in Saturday’s quarterfinal match against Venezuela, and proved to be too much for his opponent from the getgo. He recorded one goal and two assists and was a force to be reckoned with throughout the match.

Check out this ridiculous pass to set the tone in the match and setup Argentina’s first goal.
