Miami Heat pay tribute to Jose Fernandez before game (VIDEO)

The Miami Heat players honored the late Jose Fernandez with t-shirts and a moment of silence before Tuesday night’s exhibition game against the Brooklyn Nets.

It was the team’s first home game of the season, and Dee Gordon, among others, was in attendance.

The warmup shirts the Heat players wore had Fernandez’s initials, “JDF,” and his number, “16,” inscribed on them.

Heat players and coaches also linked arms during the national anthem.
