Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton recently got into a car accident last Tuesday and suffered two transverse fractures in his back. It was a harrowing experience for Newton, who said he feels lucky to be alive.
One particular Panthers fan made light of that incident in a rather tasteless way. He attended the Bucs-Panthers game dressed as a car crash victim.
He wore a detached steering wheel around his neck, and also had a neck brace on.

This fan is likely trying to get a reaction or his five seconds of fame, but there are better ways to do it. Making light of a near-death experience is not cool.
