Photo: Austin Peay’s Endzone Swallowed By Massive Sinkhole

Mother Nature is not to be messed with. And she reared her ugly head today at Austin Peay State University’s Governors Stadium.

A 40-foot wide sinkhole has opened up in the north endzone. It started as a crater that was only 3 feet by 5 feet, but has since grown in size and is now a site to be seen.

Workers expect to have the hole filled by the end of the week, and the stadium should be ready go to by the teams’ home opener, Sept. 13 (according to The Tennessean).

The photos pretty much tell the story of what happened.
