Corpus Christi’s OF Delino DeShields Jr. had a rough night.
The son of former Expos second baseman (DeShields Sr.) took a 90 mph fastball to the right side of his face during the seventh inning of a Double-A game.
He went down for a brief spell, but was able to walk off on his own power. He was promptly taken to a hospital, according to MLB.com.
Let’s hope for a full recovery.
