Photo: Minor League Team to Give Away ‘Jobu’ Bobbleheads to Fans

Major League is a timeless classic that many sports fans can watch over and over. We’ll never forget Charlie Sheen as Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn, or Wesley Snipes who played Willie Mays Hayes.

And we’ll always remember “Jobu”. The religious idol was a staple of the movie, as Pedro Cerrano (played by Dennis Haysbert) prayed to it before every game in the team’s locker room.

The movie buzz has died down a good bit, being that Major League is now 25 years old. But a certain minor league team is bringing it back.

The Lake County Captains of Eastlake, Ohio—a team that plays in the Single-A New York-Penn League—has announced they’ll be giving away “Jobu” bobbleheads to 1,500 lucky fans on Aug. 1.
