Report: Cowboys players want team to draft Jalen Ramsey

If it were up to the players, the Cowboys would pick Jalen Ramsey in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft.

Stacey Dales of the NFL Network is at the Cowboys facility and the general consensus she gets from the players, according to this video, is that they prefer the Florida State defensive back.

A lot depends on whether or not the Chargers take Ramsey at No. 3. Ezekiel Elliott and Joey Bosa, among others, would be in play if Ramsey is gone by the time the Cowboys pick at No. 4.

If the Cowboys do choose Ramsey or another defensive back, it would be the third time in the last five years they addressed their secondary with their first-round pick. That strategy worked out pretty well for the offensive line. First-rounders Zack Martin (2014), Travis Frederick (2013) and Tyron Smith (2011) have combined to make seven Pro Bowls.
