Rex Ryan: ‘If Belichick’s playing quarterback, we’re coming after him.’

All it took was one win for Rex Ryan to get his grudge-match swagger back.

The Bills (1-2) broke into the win column Sunday with a 33-18 victory at home over the Cardinals. Next up is a trip to New England to face the rival Patriots. It’s anyone’s guess who the Patriots’ quarterback will be, but Ryan is ready for anyone.

“Look, I can sit back and say I don’t care who plays quarterback, cuz I know (Tom) Brady ain’t,” Ryan told CSNNE.com. “I don’t care who plays quarterback; Steve Grogan can play quarterback. If Belichick’s playing quarterback, we’re coming after him. I promise you that.”

Good old Rex is fired up for Patriots week.

Grogan is 63 and Belichick is 64, so despite the fact that Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett are both injured it’s more likely one of the latter two will be at quarterback for the Patriots (3-0) next Sunday as Tom Brady serves the last game of his suspension.

The Bills will have to be ready for either Garoppolo or Brissett. If Ryan happens to have any film on Grogan or Belichick playing quarterback, he might as well throw it away.
