Tim Tebow has traded the gridiron for the diamond, inking a deal with the New York Mets.
It’s a minor-league contract for the former NFL quarterback, who initially left the world of the NFL to join the broadcasting booth. He’ll go to either an instructional league or a fall league, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
Mets are signing Tim Tebow to a minor-league contract, an MLB source tells ESPN. Instructional League or Arizona Fall League next for Tebow.

Reaction to Tebow’s MLB tryout on its own had been all over the place.
Certain players don’t think Tebow has what it takes to make an impact at the MLB level. A general manager, though, hasn’t been shy about expressing just how great Tebow can be for the MLB.
Either way, most admitted Tebow’s workout saw him show off good power and he’s still a quality athlete.
Tebowmania has now graced the MLB, for better or worse.
