Tom Brady, Julian Edelman tweak each other on Facebook

Well, this is a different way to review game film.

Tom Brady posted on Facebook a picture of the end of his 10-yard run to the one-yard line in the second quarter of Saturday’s AFC divisional playoff win over the Chiefs.

Edelman shot back by taking a good-natured swipe at Brady’s inability to finish off a touchdown, finishing his post by saying “love you bud.”

The Patriots receiver has a point. Brady does kind of look like someone on ice skates carrying two grocery bags as he finds his way into the end zone. It’s understandable that Edelman assumed Brady wouldn’t need a block if he was that close to the pylon.

Also, Brady would have a lot more time for Facebook this week if it weren’t for Edelman returning from his foot injury Saturday. After missing seven games he caught 10 passes for 100 yards, including the game-clinching pass on first down on a ball that bounced off the hands of Chiefs defensive end Tamba Hali.

Having Edelman in there made the Patriots offense look like it did in the first half of the season, and that likely puts the team in the mood for a few laughs.
