Tom Brady says he’s not among the greatest QBs ever

What more does Tom Brady need to be satisfied?

Despite being one of only three quarterbacks to win four Super Bowls, Brady told Jim Gray of Westwood One Radio, via ESPN.com, that he doesn’t belong on the list of the greatest all-time quarterbacks.

Brady, Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw are the only quarterbacks who have won four titles. Brady is the only quarterback who’s been to six Super Bowls. But Brady implied that he wants to make it look as easy as Montana made it look

“I have to work my butt off all week,” Brady said.

Right. And Montana sat around playing Nintendo all week and somehow managed to win 133 games.

Maybe Brady just doesn’t like sharing the record with anyone. He turns 39 in August, but looks like he could still be an elite quarterback if the Patriots can get better protection around him and maybe a wide receiver who can take the top off a defense.

If Brady wins that fifth Super Bowl ring, maybe the humble pie goes out the window and he’ll pull a Muhammad Ali and say “I am the greatest!”
