Something was in the air over these last few hours that had quarterbacks wanting to troll the internet. First it was Jameis Winston, today it was Ohio State’s Cardale Jones.
First Cardale tweeted that his career at Ohio State was over…

and that he was headed to Akron of all places…

But alas, it was just a joke…

Haha.
Of course, it’s the internet so some people were pissed off that Cardale played a joke on them. It also looks like Cardale didn’t really like some of the feedback that he got…

Acting like you read something about me beating women, getting arrested, failing a drug test, fighting, etc. harmless freaking joke

The moral of the story is something that we already know. Don’t blindly believe what you see on the internet and don’t be a jackhat when responding to stuff on the internet. And Cardale, you can let it go now. It was funny, I’m sure the lunatic-fringe over-reacted but by responding to them and letting them know they are bothering you, you are just encouraging them. You had to know it wasn’t going to be all bubble gum and rainbows when you posted it, right?
I sure hope he let Urban know about the joke before he posted it.
