Oklahoma’s path to redemption continues with Texas Tech

The Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Tech Red Raiders are both out to redeem themselves after recent struggles. Both will have the chance to do so in an epic Big 12 clash on Saturday.
Texas Tech’s bid to somehow earn a bowl game for the end of the year starts on November 15th, while they can simultaneously defeat a hated rival. The Sooners, on the other hand, come in at just 6-3 and losers of three of their last five contests, making Saturday’s clash a big game for team morale. The Sooners appear to be locked into a bowl game at this point, but they can ill afford to lose to the Raiders as they try to come back from a rough blowout loss by the hands of Baylor.
With neither of these teams in contention for the college football playoff, this game could return ridiculous value at just $96.26 on average. In fact, Oklahoma Sooners tickets are just $25 to get in the door.
The value would be there for Texas Tech tickets if the Red Raiders could pull off the huge upset, something that might actually be possible with the Sooners clearly in a vulnerable state. The odds tilt even more in the Red Raiders’ favor if Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight remains sidelined due to injury.
Either way, Texas Tech has to be given a legit shot in this one, as they’ve had two whole weeks to prepare for this showdown and they don’t have much to lose. A struggling Texas Tech defense could get a huge boost if Knight sits this one out, and a big win over the Sooners could still potentially propel the Red Raiders to a bowl game appearance.
For now, all we know for sure is that a Big 12 clash hits the stage on Saturday and both teams are badly in need of a momentum-shifting win. The most dangerous aspect is that depending on who is active, it’s a game that experts could see going either way. The Sooners do have one huge matchup left – Bedlam, when they play their instate rivals that will see Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State tickets start at $80.
