Earlier in the year, we watched Andre Johnson fall to the ground, untouched, when he injured his hamstring. His return to the field was unfortunately short-lived. Today, Johnson once again fell to the ground, again untouched, but this time it would appear to be his other hamstring being the problem.
Johnson, who has played in just 5 games this season, has historically been a very reliable option for the Texans, but now his season is in serious question. It’s hard enough to battle back from one bad hamstring in a season. These types of injuries often require a very extended resting period to return the hamstring to 100%. Now, he has 2 bad legs to deal with.
The Texans have continued to win despite key injuries to some of their best players. Mario Williams and Matt Schaub are both lost for the remainder of the season, and now the Texans may have to consider the possibility that Johnson may not be back this season.
