NFL Week 13 Preview: The Packers Will Deal A Setback To Giants Playoff Hopes

Aaron RodgersGREEN BAY PACKERS (11-0) at NEW YORK GIANTS (6-5)
Sunday, 4:15 P.M. ET, FOX, Direct TV (715), Sirius (GB 94, NY 86)

Why Watch
Green Bay can clinch the division today with a win and losses by Detroit and Chicago. The Giants once looked strong for the NFC East. After dropping three straight games, they are desperate to stay within striking distance of the Cowboys. To do that, they must do what no one else has been able to do, beat the Packers.

What To Watch
The Packers scored 130 more points this season than have the Giants. The Pack allowed 50 fewer points against them than have the Giants. If you read no further, you will know the key factor in this match-up. Now add this. Green Bay visited mayhem on a desperate contending team on their home turf once before in their November meeting with the Chargers. Aaron Rodger coolly completed 80 percent of his passes for four touchdowns as the Packers defense picked mistake prone Philip Rivers three times for a 45-38 win. MetLife Stadium holds no fear factor for the Pack.

The Giants are a team in transition. Jason Pierre-Paul, not Justin Tuck, is the new sack leader with 10.5 on the year. Victor Cruz, not Hakeem Nicks nor Ahmad Bradshaw, is the scoring leader with seven touchdowns. Eli Manning is having a stellar season as the leader of a passing offense, though nothing close to Rodgers. The Giants pass rush is missing a few cylinders but may bring more pressure on Rodgers than any other team has been able to. Green Bay is favored by 7.

Who Will Win
The Giants can win if they force mistakes or the Packers get sloppy. Otherwise, go with the obvious. GREEN BAY.
