2011 NFL Power Rankings: Week 8

Notes from Shane:

Confusing: The Ravens seem like they may have become the new “yeah but” team in the NFL. The Texans are still confusing as well, but the Ravens only losses have come at the hands of the Titans and the Jaguars. Those are real head scratchers.

Looking Up: The Steelers’ offensive line has played better in recent weeks, and their stock is looking up. It would appear that they’re getting on track at the right time.

Notes from Will:

Biggest Fallers: The Buccaneers (-7). Have yet to play a complete game. Losses to running backs and failures on defense will hurt badly.

Biggest Risers: The Cowboys (+4). Hard to upgrade them this much after a win against the Rams, but winning without Romo = formula for success.

Notes from Derek:

Falling: Ravens. After averaging just over 30 points a game heading into MNF against the Jaguars to only out up 7 points did not inspire confidence. For a team with past offensive woes like the Ravens this brings up more questions.

Rising: Steelers. With another strong performance from Big Ben the Steelers are reminding everyone just why they were AFC Champs in 2010.
