Ndamukong Suh Okay; Not Impaired After Car Wreck

To say that Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has had a rough go of it lately would be a massive understatement. It all started on Thanksgiving Day. First he stomped (and yes, it was a stomp) on Dietrich-Smith’s arm, then he was suspended, yesterday his appeal of that suspension was denied, and this morning Suh crashed his car in Portland, Oregon.

Police told The Oregonian that Suh simply lost control of his car, a classic 1970 Chevy coupe. While the fact that he crashed wasn’t amusing, the manner in which he did it is considering that no one was injured. According to the police, Suh went on an automobile scavenger hunt of destruction hitting a curb, light poll, drinking fountain, and finally a tree.

Suh will be able to return to team activities on December 12. Hopefully, he’ll be able to cut down on the shenanigans from here on out. Maybe I’m just reading far too far into this, but this accident occurred in downtown Portland. Now that’s not exactly a small, middle of nowhere town. I’m baffled that he had enough time to hit four separate objects before being able to stop his vehicle. Maybe, just maybe, Suh should take on a low-key role in the coming weeks. But hey, that’s just me. Suh should just feel fortunate that these guys weren’t first on the scene.
