2011 NFL Power Rankings: Week 11

Notes from Shane:

Just when the Texans finally begin to look like a team that can and would win their division, they get the awful news that Matt Schaub is likely to miss the rest of the season. I took that into account when ranking them. Still, they should continue to play good football despite the loss.

The Lions have lost 3 of their last 4 games, and they’re on the brink of really going into a free fall. It’s up to the coaches and the players to turn it around before they become the same old Lions we’re used to.

Notes from Lawrence:

Rising: 49ers. They are officially a legit contender in the NFC. Packers, ‘9ers could be a matchup for the ages

Falling: Lions – The Cinderella run is over. They have no rushing attack and Matty Stafford is getting beat up by throwing the ball 60+ times per game

Notes from Derek:

Rising: 49ers. After an impressive win against the Giants no one can argue their place near the top of any power rankings. The fact the 49ers have yet to allow a rushing TD on the season is staggering.

Falling: Bills. After a terrific start and a statement victory against the Patriots the Bills have lost all good will and momentum they built with ugly loses to the Jets and Cowboys. In both their defense and offense have exposed major flaws.
