Even President Obama Watches Hard Knocks, Mocks the Dolphins

U.S. president Barack Obama knows his sports, and although he's a basketball guy first, the prez isn't afraid to talk some football when the occasion arises. Just this summer at an event in Oakland, he told Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha to tell Michael Vick to slide more

Yes, he also once called the Penn State football team the "Nitally Lions," but we're giving him the benefit of the doubt and guessing he's more of an NFL fan. He is, after all, a Chicago guy and a Bears fan first.

But with an election looming, Obama's also trying to appeal to the masses for votes right now. That's why it was slightly surprising that the first thing he did in a Tuesday interview with a Miami-based Latin romance radio station was take a shot at the Dolphins.

In that interview, host DJ Laz mentioned off the top that he was wearing his Phins jersey, to which POTUS replied:

“You’ve got to start with that Dolphins thing?," Obama said, via David Hyde of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. "Did you see that HBO special Hard Knocks? That’s a pretty good show. As I recall, you guys didn’t win any [games] in the preseason."

See, Obama's just like the rest of us. He's addicted to Hard Knocks, even during an intense campaign, and he knows that the Dolphins suck.
