Chad Ochocinco to change name back to “Johnson”

Common, all of you are secretly wishing you had the gall to change your name to something you love. I personally would change my name to Shane Macbook if I had the stones for it. Then again, I would probably have to worry about Apple suing me too. Well, it was a thought.

One of the famous name-changes in the United States will soon be reversed according to TMZ. According to the pop culture outlet, Chad Ochocinco is telling his friends that he plans to change his name back to Chad Johnson before getting married. Apparently, he doesn’t want his wife to have to take a “made-up” last name.

The move is fantastic. We should all be so lucky to change our names, only to realize that we’ve made a long-term mistake. Still the move is being done for the right reasons. After all, would you want your wife to be called “Mrs. Ochocinco?” TMZ reports that Chad Ochocinco’s wedding to Evelyn Lozada is set to be held in Florida this July. Their sources tell them the receiver will make the name change before that date, but he has made no official announcement of the change.

Luckily, no fans owning his jersey will be effected by the change. Anyone that had purchased a Chad Ochocinco jersey when he moved to the Patriots had long thrown it away.
