Greg Schiano paving the way for Chip Kelly

When Greg Schiano started his NFL career it didn’t take very long until his name got mentioned around league circles, unfortunately it was for all the wrong reasons.  The “kneel down gate “had many around the league questioning Schiano’s methods however at 6-4 his squad has fully bought into his system. The once lackluster Buccaneers find themselves right in the NFC playoff mix and as hot as any team in the league.

Schiano is even making a chase for coach of the year as the first time college coach completely changed the culture of an organization that seemed to be going nowhere fast under Raheem Morris.

As some will remember Schiano got offered the job in Tampa Bay after Chip Kelly decided to stick with Oregon. After Kelly has seen Schiano’s success in the league it might intrigue Kelly even more to make the jump to the Pros.

Kelly will most likely be one of the top coaching options this offseason and Schiano has helped get college coaching failures like Nick Saban and Steve Spurrier off NFL organizations minds.

Kelly has been one of the most successful college coaches in the past 3 years and his creative coaching styles has got the most out of his players and surely has a lot to offer to the NFL. Kelly has successes with talent and top recruiting at Oregon however Kelly hasn’t produced many top NFL talents and has been able to still succeed at Oregon.

Teams like Cleveland, Kansas City, Carolina and Philadelphia will all surely be giving coach Kelly call this offseason.
