Morning Huddle – Romo better than Manning?

This is why I’d take Manning over Romo in a heartbeat.

Anytime someone talks about Tony Romo as an elite quarterback, I tend to cringe a little and walk away. Every now and then, someone like Amani Toomer compares Romo to another established quarterback, in this case Eli Manning, and says Romo is the better quarterback. From a purely numbers perspective, Tony Romo is a very efficient quarterback, but there’s a huge difference. Manning has 2 Super Bowl rings while Romo has yet to reach the big game. I’d take Manning over Romo every day and twice on Sundays.

Mike Freeman thinks the NFL could be fighting a losing battle to keep fans in stadiums on Sunday afternoons. In recent years, many teams have had trouble filling their stadiums, and those teams often fight against blackouts on a weekly basis. While I have serious doubts that die-hard fans will ever abandon the stadium experience altogether, I could see a situation develop in which NFL stadiums become smaller in an effort to reduce stadium capacity.

Mike Florio made a list of unsigned draft picks as of July 5th. Just glancing at the list, you’ll notice there’s still a lot of first round picks that are still unsigned, a few second rounders, a few more third rounds, and only a handful of fourth through seventh rounders that haven’t signed with their teams yet.
