Peyton Manning reaches out to Colorado movie victims

Peyton_ManningEarlier in the year, the Denver Broncos moved on from one of the most well liked players in the league at the quarterback position. Peyton Manning has, by most accounts, blended in well with the rest of the Broncos team, and today the Associated Press reports that Manning is now reaching out to the heartbroken community of Aurora, a community on the East side of the Denver area.

According to the AP, Manning spoke one-on-one with “several” of the victims of Friday’s Batman shooting. I’m sure that there really was no PR motives on Manning’s part here, but it’s always nice to see a high profile player reaching out to the community he plays in, especially during tough times. It’ll take more than one celebrity calling up victims for the community of Aurora to begin to move on from such a horrific event, but individual acts of kindness such as these will go a long way towards helping those individuals involved move on from the incident.
