Lions center Raiola calls Titus Young an “a-hole”

The Lions have had a rough go of it in 2012, and internal problems haven't helped. Possibly the biggest issue they've dealt with this season has been second year receiver Titus Young.

As you may, or may not, recall, Young supposedly sabotaged the Lions' offense, lining up wrong on multiple occasions. The allegations led to his benching following the Lions' loss to the Green Bay Packers in week eleven.

Young has since returned to practice with the Lions, but that doesn't mean he's being welcomed back. Lions center Dominic Raiola said, per Chris McCosky, "We've moved on from him. He wants to be an asshole, let him be an asshole. It's not my problem. What we can control is the guys who want to be here. And when you act like that, you don't want to be here. We've got good guys on offense. Don't be an asshole and don't be a jerk."

At this point, it's hard to imagine Titus Young working out with the Lions. His teammates certainly don't support his presence, and it seems clear they'd rather do without his services. The Lions could try to deal him in the offseason, but if it's apparent that Young's release from the team is imminent, it would drive his price through the floor.

Titus Young has a lot of talent, but it seems he also has an attitude problem. Some team will take a chance on him, unless the Lions keep him out of spite, but he needs to learn how to conduct himself like a professional to succeed at the professional level.
