Maurice Jones-Drew has ended his holdout, reporting to the Jaguars earlier today according Albert Breer of the NFL Network.
Jones-Drew's holdout was a largely unproductive venture that will cost him the starting position next Sunday when the Jaguars play the Minnesota Vikings. Mike Mularkey has indicated that Rashad Jennings will be the starting running back, and there's no reason to believe that position will change with just a week left before game day.
There's been a lot of talk that Jones-Drew is in shape, but not "football shape." The argument does hold water. It's impossible for your body to get used to the punishment of being hit time after time when you're not in camp being hit. The question is how long will it take for Jones-Drew to get into football shape, and how much will it affect his play?
Ultimately, it seems that the Jaguars are happy to have their star running back in camp. He may not be used a great deal against the Vikings as he tries to get up to speed with the Jaguars' and Mike Mularkey's new offense, but he gives the Jaguars a better chance to win when he's on the field.

The man that will be moved back to 2nd on the depth chart by Jones-Drew's arrival is happy to have him back. If Jennings is happy, everyone should be happy.
