Bountygate just won’t die!

Bountygate should be over. It should be in the rearview mirror, but it isn’t. DeMaurice Smith has submitted a letter to Roger Goodell, suggesting that Goodell re-open the NFL’s probe into the Saints’ bounty program. In all reality, the move is essentially a last ditch effort by the NFLPA to get some of the suspensions associated with the scandal either overturned or reduced. It won’t work. Roger Goodell is still Roger Goodell.

Adam Archuleta wasn’t happy during his football playing days according to the Washington Post, but that wasn’t due to concussions. In the candid interview, Archuleta attributed his unhappiness as a player to the expectations he put on himself, even as his play deteriorated. The expectations took its toll, and Archuleta said the ordeal made him “miserable.”

Paul Kuharsky came up with the “AFC South offseason hype awards,” and the idea is pure genius. You can take a look at the awards by clicking the link, but the idea is great. There’s the possibility that a similar type of league wide awards article could make its way to This Given Sunday. Stay tuned on that front. For now, enjoy Kuharsky’s take on the AFC South.
