Of all the big headlines running throughout a normal NFL week, it'd be easy to miss one about Vince Young.
Just 6 years removed from being the 3rd overall pick in the NFL draft and receiving a $26 million pay day from the Titans, Vince Young apparently needs money.
“I would just say that Vince needs a job,” Young's attorney Trey Dolezal told the AP in regard to the former quarterback's financial problems.
Young's lockout financial problems have been well documented, but this is another case of a former NFL player not being able to manage his finances in a way that allows him to live comfortably in his post-football life.
There's still some hope for Young that some QB needy team would give him another shot, but it's not a likely outcome. Young has consistently shown a knack for breaking down mentally, and as a backup quarterback, that's too much of a burden for most teams to take on.
In the end, this is just the latest cautionary tale about an NFL player that squandered his fortune.
