Tomorrow, hundreds of thousands of fans will pile into NFL venues around the nation. Obviously, we would rather be at an NFL stadium, but far more of us will be sitting on our couches watching games. If you’re not ready for Sunday’s games, today is the time to make last minute preparations. Here’s what you’ll need for the big game.
NFL Sunday Ticket
Frankly, there’s no other way to watch football in my world. DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket allows you to watch any game from around the league, provided the game isn’t being shown on a local channel. For those of us rooting for out-of-market teams, this is where you should start preparing.
Even if you’re not a DirecTV subscriber, you can get the package. The cheapest way to do so is to buy a copy of Madden 25. Make sure to get the edition with a free 17-week trial of Sunday Ticket. You can buy these copies through Amazon or eBay. If you go this route, however, you won’t be in business until next week.
Snacks!
Duh! This should be obvious, and if you’re not already fully stocked, shame on you! Take a trip to a local grocery store, and stock up on your favorite treats. Chips and soft drinks are my snacks of choice, but hey, to each their own.
Batteries
Your remote controls for your TV do have a habit of running out at the worst possible times don’t they? Well, make sure to have some spare batteries on hand. I know, it’s a small thing, but sometimes, small things make all the difference.
Get the guys together!
There’s nothing better than enjoying a day of football than doing it with your fellow fans. Hop on the phone and get all your buddies over to your place. Or, and probably better yet, you can go to someone else’s party. Just remember, in your own man cave, you control the remote. That’s not the case elsewhere. Make your decision accordingly.
Lose the distractions
Significant others can be great, but not everyone is as big of a football fan as you. If you have others in your house that annoy you at the game’s biggest moments, send them to the movies – all the movies.
