Street on its way to being renamed ‘Donald Driver Way’

Lost amid the lesser news items of releases, trades and the coming of free agency is the fact that Donald Driver may soon have a street named after him in Green Bay.

According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Donald Driver will likely have a street named after himself in the near future. Green Bay's Plan Commission voted unanimously to rename part of Pearl Street, changing it to "Donald Driver Way."

The measure will be passed to the City Council later this month for final action.

Driver spent 14 seasons in the NFL, all with the Packers. He caught 743 passes for 10,137 yards and 61 touchdowns over the course of his career. About a month from now, he'll likely be able to add "having a street named after myself" to his resume.
