Bengals tickets up 34% for huge meeting with Broncos

The Denver Broncos (11-3) will take on the Cincinnati Bengals (9-4-1) at Paul Brown Stadium on Monday Night Football. It’s crunch time for the Bengals, who find themselves narrowly ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens for the AFC North Division title. Marvin Lewis’ squad is coming off an impressive and dominant performance against the struggling Browns. The Bengals attacked Johnny Manziel early, and the offense dominated Cleveland in route to a 30-0 shutout. Meanwhile, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos regained their usual swagger by scoring a road victory over the San Diego Chargers.

On the secondary market the average price for Bengals vs. Broncos tickets is currently$198.40, 34% above the price of the tickets seven days ago. This comes as no surprise, as this game features playoff contenders in prime time during the Christmas season. Also, the margin of error for the Bengals is slim, as they could be anywhere from the division leaders to out of the playoffs by the end of Week 17. Moreover, the average price for Broncos tickets in December is $258.20. The get-in price for the Monday Night Football game is currently $71.00.

The Cincinnati Bengals carry a great deal of momentum into their game on Monday night. The defense captured a shutout and Jeremy Hill has officially made his claim for the starting job at running back with 148 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns against the Browns. However, the Denver Broncos are riding a four game winning streak into Cincinnati. Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense were back to business with 337 yards against the Chargers. Demaryius Thomas added to his spectacular season by catching six passes for 123 yards and a touchdown reception.

The last meeting between the Bengals and Broncos was in November of 2012, where the Broncos won 31-23. Peyton Manning threw for three scores and Erik Decker caught two touchdowns. Andy Dalton contributed to his sophomore campaign with 299 yards and a touchdown pass. Von Miller was in Cincinnati’s backfield all day, finishing the game with three sacks. Both teams come in with tremendous talent and could be a preview of a playoff matchup down the line.
