Eagles and Redskins square off as franchises head in opposite directions

The Philadelphia Eagles are headed to Landover, Maryland this Sunday to face the Washington Redskins at 4:30 P.M. The Eagles are coming off of back-to-back losses against Seattle and Dallas that have left them one game behind the NFC East leading Dallas Cowboys.

The Eagles rank 4th in the NFL in total offense, but have had some struggles since Nick Foles’ injury put Mark Sanchez at the helm. This is a must-win game for the turnover-prone Eagles, who lead the NFL in giveaways with 33. Washington is coming off of 6-straight losses and an 11-point loss last week against the 5-9 New York Giants.

Washington hopes to snap its losing streak against the division rival Eagles team that it put up over 500 yards of total offense against in their previous matchup. Things are looking good this week from the Eagles perspective as they have won the last three meetings with Washington, and sit one-game back from the division leading Dallas Cowboys; who face Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts Sunday.

According to ABC Tickets, the average price for Redskins vs. Eagles tickets is currently $156.53 on the secondary market, 35% lower than the average Eagles ticket price of $241.83 for their first match-up in September. The get-in price for the game is $35.00, which is very low for an NFL game. This NFC East matchup is the second to last divisional game for the Eagles. The price of this game has decreased by 1% in the past seven days.

This matchup could very well determine the winner of the NFC East and the team that advances to the playoffs. A win by the Eagles over the abysmal 3-11 Redskins and a Dallas loss will put Philadelphia in the top spot in the division heading in to the final week of the season.
