TGS weekly MVP tracker: Rodgers remains on top

With 13 whole weeks remaining in the 2015 NFL regular season, here’s how we view the MVP race…

1. Aaron Rodgers, Packers — Another win and another blemish-free game means Rodgers has still yet to lose or throw an interception this season. The league’s highest-rated passer is the obvious leader as we enter the second month.

2. Tom Brady, Patriots — Also perfect and without a pick, Brady holds his No. 2 spot after a bye week. He’s the league’s third highest-rated passer.

3. Andy Dalton, Bengals — He’ll still have to prove he can win in prime time and when it matters most, but you can’t deny a quarterback who has his team at 4-0 and possesses the league’s second-highest passer rating.

4. Matt Ryan, Falcons — Also a passer rating in the triple digits for a team that is 4-0 out of the gates. Ryan’s had a lot of help from a great offense, but he’s off to the best start of his career.

5. Russell Wilson, Seahawks — Where would Seattle be if not for Wilson, the league’s best improviser? He was a magician Monday night, keeping his team in contention despite early-season acrimony.

Also in contention despite early ups and downs: Carson Palmer, Tyrod Taylor, Philip Rivers, Adrian Peterson, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown and — amazingly — DeMarcus Ware.
