Jeremy Hill: “[Browns] worse than I thought”

The Bengals got obliterated by the Browns 24-3, AT HOME, on Thursday night. Cincinnati totaled just 165 yards of offense, turned the ball over four times, and averaged 2.6 yards a play. It was, by all accounts, a complete and utter decimation.

Well, all but one account. Bengals running back Jeremy Hill wasn’t impressed by the performance at all. Via ESPN:

Asked whether the Browns were better than he previously thought, Hill said, “Oh no, not at all. They’re probably worse than I thought, to be honest with you.”

“They didn’t do anything special to me,” Hill continued. “I mean, respect to them, they won the game. But that’s all I’ll give them.”

[…]

“Those guys, they’re not that good,” he said. “It was on us [Thursday]. We gave them the game, in my opinion. They didn’t do anything special. We just gave them the game. They just sat back with coverage the whole day.”

Yup, that’s the ticket – the Bengals gave the game away by losing the turnover battle and getting outgained by 200 yards. Good job, good effort.
