From the day that UConn football coach Bob Diaco took over the program, he said he was going to build it the right way and get the program back to respectability. It’s safe to say he’s gotten them there now.

For the first time in five years, the UConn Huskies football team is bowl eligible after they upset the Houston Cougars 20-17 on Senior Day at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT.

UConn improves to 6-5 while it’s the first loss of the year for the Houston Cougars who are now 10-1.
