This might be one of the better college basketball seasons in a long time just because there is no clear number one team. Once March Madness comes rolling around you mine as well throw your brackets out the door because they will be up in flames after day one. So who are the best college basketball teams right now? 4. Michigan Wolverines
The Michigan Wolverines are coming off a loss against Louisville otherwise they would be number one on the list. The Wolverines come into this game with a 7-1 record and they have already had three of the most impressive wins over Iowa State, North Carolina, and Gonzaga. They have been battle-tested and that is going to be a key as the season goes on. Barring any injuries, the Wolverines should be in the final four come March.
3. Maryland Terrapins
The Maryland Terrapins haven’t played all that tough of schedule but they have done exactly what they should do with their type of schedule, they have dominated them. They have wins over a good Temple squad, a pretty good Harvard squad, and they dominated Marquette on both ends of the floor and that led to a 19 point win. This might be the best team that Mark Turgeon has ever had and they are going to be tested all year in the Big Ten. Anthony Cowan, Jalen Smith, Aaron Wiggins, and Eric Ayala are all really good players and all have a chance to play in the NBA someday. The top two teams are a true toss-up, so both of these teams can hold the number one spot for now. The Cardinals are an elite team on both sides of the ball and their defense is going to be a big key this season. Ohio State just went to North Carolina and dominated them winning 74-49. Their schedule is going to get tough during big ten team, but this is a team that can win it all.
