Charlotte Hornets management indicated Nicolas Batum was their “No. 1 priority” this offseason, and while they may have overpaid for him, it looks like they got their guy.
The Hornets reportedly offered the French shooting guard a five-year, $120 million deal to remain with the team.

Obviously, no deal is official until the team is allowed to officially sign players on July 7, but this is what’s being reported at this time.
Batum averaged 14.9 points, 5.8 assists and 6.1 rebounds per game with the Hornets last year. He showed he’s a complete player and can get it done on both ends of the floor.
Charlotte must’ve liked what they saw during his first year with the team, because they sure paid him like it.
