Travel is a wonderful thing. It exposes you to different cultures, and you get to know how people live in other countries. In Asia, Singapore is one of the top spots for tourists. Today, let us take a look at the best places that you must see in Lion City.

1. Night Safari

This is one of the best things you can do here. At night, you will go on a tour to see animals in a huge preservation complex. You will ride in a tram, and you can also trek by foot in selected areas. Here, you will see big cats like tigers. There are also alligators, night owls, antelopes, and so much more. The beautiful thing about the park is that the animals are not in cages—they are free to roam around. One of the highlights of the park is the fruit bat enclosure. You will be walking in a giant cage where you can see the bats up close.

2. The Botanical Garden

This is just one of the largest “green” areas of Singapore. Here, you will see different types of orchids, and it is just a little west of Orchard Road. What makes this area so good is that you do not just see plants, but you will also see a beautiful lake. The entire area is well-kept, and the different gardens offer different themes. Overall, there are 314 species of plants here. Half of the plants here are rare. There is even an ancient rainforest here.

3. Orchard Road

If shopping is your thing, then you have to go visit this area. It is a street full of shopping establishments. This is where you will find branded items. The thing is, there is no orchard here. From malls and department stores to solo branded shops, you will find every luxury here. There are also many food courts where you can take a break and eat.

4. Universal Studios

This is one of the biggest facilities in the country. If you know what Disneyland is, then think of Universal Studios as something like that but only for movies owned by the company. Here, you can ride roller coasters. As a movie theme park, there are seven “worlds” here, including Waterworld, which is based on a movie of the same title starring Kevin Costner.

The world’s tallest duelling rollercoaster is also located here—the Battlestar Galactica. As a dual roller coaster, you can choose between the Cyclon or the Seated Human.

This place also offers a sci-fi city where you can find the Transformers Ride. One of the best attractions is the Mummy roller coaster. It is a roller coaster that is indoor, and the entire place is eerily dark to a point where sometimes you could not see a thing.

5. Resorts World

If casino gaming is your thing, then go to Resorts World. It is also located in Sentosa Island, the same place where you will find Universal Studios. The hotel is in close proximity to different areas where you can have fun, like the Dolphin Island, SEA Aquarium, and so much more. If you are not in the mood to play, just open your mobile device or laptop and play at Wulkan Wegas via the hotel’s internet.

6. S.E.A. Aquarium

This is a big aquarium where you can see more than 100,000 marine animals. There are over 1,000 species of marine animals here, and you can explore up to 45 different types of habitats. Apart from seeing the animals, you will also get the chance to watch free shows where divers feed the fish. There are some mascots that walk around, and you can take a picture with them. If you want something better, you can schedule birthday parties here. You can also get diving lessons and even walk the seabed.

7. River Cruise

You can also take a cruise by Marina Bay. It’s better to do it at night, so you can see the city in all its glory.  The river cruise is 40 minutes long, and they run every 20 minutes. You will see Clarke Quay, and your guide will provide you with a commentary and a little bit of history about the places you pass by.

Although Singapore is a small city-state, it has one of the biggest economies in Asia. It has some 60 islets and the main island, so there are so many things you can do here—from casino gambling to swimming, you will be amazed at what it has to offer.
