Travis Kelce to star in dating show

As tight ends become a bigger part of offenses around the NFL, players at that position are grabbing more and more of the spotlight.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will be the prized bachelor on “Catching Kelce,” a reality show on E! in which Kelce will choose from 50 female contestants, one from each state.

Unlike another high-profile tight end who seems to be in love with the camera, Kelce didn’t seem to revel in his TV stardom.

“I think it will be a pretty funny show, but I’m more excited for the football season,” Kelce told The Kansas City Star at organized team activities.

Kelce insisted that the filming of the show be scheduled around the Chiefs’ offseason program. That’s a good idea considering the Chiefs’ unfinished business.

The aforementioned camera-loving tight end out-performed Kelce in the AFC divisional playoffs in January. Rob Gronkowski caught seven passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns in the Patriots’ 27-20 victory over the Chiefs while Kelce caught six passes for 23 yards.

Still, Kelce has done enough in his career for 50 women to compete for his affection on reality TV.
