It was the pop heard round the world.
Monday night, Shane McMahon returned to RAW to thunderous applause and the absolute delight of the crowd at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
But, during the commercial break following his re-emergence on WWE television, Shane-O-Mac (hard nipples and all) spoke to the “Universe” and made it seem like we might not see him again until his April 3 tilt against The Undertaker at WrestleMania.
Then…this hit the From The Top Rope inbox:
“Just announced,” the email from WWE read, “for the first time in over a decade, Shane McMahon will be live in Chicago on March 7 for Monday Night RAW!”
Alright, so if the pop for the Junior McMahon was that big for his return to Detroit…can you even imagine how loud it is going to be at Allstate Arena March 7? And here we just thought dude was rocking those retro Air Jordan 1s because they’re dope shoes…turns out it was a sign.
Or, more than likely, it was just because he likes the shoes. Ha.
