If I Were Booking – Bray Wyatt’s Return

We are halfway through the four big returns from injury that Vince had mentioned in his recent conference call.

Next up on the list appears to be “The Eater of Worlds” Bray Wyatt.

Back in the day, Jim Ross tagged Rob Van Dam to be the greatest to never win the world championship. It is hard to deny that this could be Bray’s moniker in the present day (or at least being the greatest to never have a real shot at the top prize). At One Night Stand in 2006, WWE rectified JR’s initial claim making RVD the WWE Champion.

It is about time that WWE does the same with the leader of The Wyatt Family – and now is the time to plant that seed.

Rumors have been circling saying that Bray will be making his return tonight on Raw. OK, that’s fine. But what kind of impact would that make? What would he be doing upon his return?

I have a way that would create the amount of buzz and intrigue that Wyatt’s character deserves.

His return should not be tonight…or next week either. His return should come on Sunday, June 19 at Money in the Bank.

Late in the Money in the Bank match, there should be a point where all competitors are laid out, too tired to even move let alone try to climb the ladder to reach the briefcase.

At this point, the lights go out and the well-known Wyatt graphic pops up. When the lights come back on, Braun Strowman and Erik Rowan are standing on each side of the ladder…sheep masks on and all of course! In the middle of the two, we see Bray Wyatt smiling at the top of the ladder as he reaches up and grab the Money in the Bank briefcase!

Bray Wyatt as a character is shrouded in mystery and controversy…I don’t think there are two words that would better describe this scenario! Wyatt takes the briefcase and leaves fans wondering what will happen next.

From there, Wyatt goes up against one of the competitors in the Money in the Bank match that takes issues with him just showing up and taking the briefcase…Cesaro perhaps? Imagine the promos that Bray could produce going after Cesaro and his “missed brass rings.” There is a good couple months’ worth of programming with those two!
